​The Story of Ettie’s Field

Ettie’s Field began with Linds and Dom, who decided in 2015 to create a campsite in the field. After securing planning permission, work began in September 2017 — and what a build it was! Even the Beast from the East couldn’t stop them. Nine months later, on 1 June 2018, Ettie’s Field officially opened.

The name, however, goes back a little further. In 2013, Linds and Dom bought their first American Airstream and named her Ettie, after Linds’ Grandma. They parked Ettie in the back field, which naturally became known as Ettie’s Field. So when the campsite needed a name, it was already there.

Today, Paul and Gina, together with their daughter Natalya and her husband Bobby, are proud to continue the story that Linds and Dom began — preserving the character, peaceful atmosphere and warm welcome that make Ettie’s Field so special, while carefully looking after its future.
